The inu picture shiba dog will usually have any rescue dogs that are available on the pictures page.
Many coat colors are acceptable in this breed, but red with black overlay and black with tan markings are preferable. White or cream markings are preferable on the cheeks, muzzle and chest and are permitted on the legs and tail.

These small dogs are very similar to Akita with their pointed face, triangular sharp ears and broad forehead. Their eyes are small and dark; the nose is black; the bite should be scissor.
